Web analytics involves the collection, analysis and reporting of data for the purpose of understanding and optimising websites and online campaigns.

SEM is an umbrella term covering the practice of using search engines to market your website, and includes more specific topics such as SEO and PPC.

SEM includes researching, submitting and positioning of a website within search engines, such as Google and Bing, with the aim to achieve the most visibility and increase share in organic and/or paid traffic referrals.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Internal search engine optimisation aims to provide better organic search results for your website, covering it’s content (quantity and quality) including heading structure and links. Getting it right on your website makes it more likely Google (and other search engines) will index your site and give it a good ranking, helping it to appear earlier in search results.

External search engine optimisation includes good use of social media and other offsite practices, such as building backlinks on other sites.

Pay-per-click (PPC)

Paid pay-per-click advertising, such as Google AdWords and AdSense, is a way of promoting your website, product, service or campaign within search engines and on sites related to your audience. As the name implies you pay each time a user clicks your online advert and is sent to your website landing page where your audience is encourage to perform a desired action. Good planning, keyword/phrase research, monitoring and campaign management help ensure better ROI.

List building

The building of your CRM and mailing list is a vital way to stay in touch with, and sell to, your prospects and customers. Building an email list is one of the cheapest, most cost-effective solutions for doing that, which integrates easily into the digital arena via your website, your social media presence and your email marketing.
